(Wikipedia)'Terasai', 'Terasi', 'Trassi' (in Dutch) or Shrimp Paste is a common ingredient used in Southeast Asian and Southern Chinese cuisine.Shrimp paste or belacan is a seasoning made from fish and / or shrimp organisms (jembret; gamberetti-it) which is fermented, shaped like pasta and black-brown, sometimes coupled with a dye that becomes red. Paste has a sharp odor and is usually used to make chili paste, but also found in a variety of traditional Indonesian recipes. In Indonesia recipes, there is a common sauce which made of terasai. There is named by 'Sambal Terasai'."

Mboh iku mangan lalapan, pitik, bebek, tempe, tahu, malahan bapakku mbiyen mangane mung sego anget diawuri terasi sing digoreng tanpo lengo. Hmmm... wuasin mesti rasane. :P
