"... (Wikipedia)'Terasai', 'Terasi', 'Trassi' (in Dutch) or Shrimp Paste is  a common ingredient used in Southeast Asian and Southern Chinese cuisine.Shrimp paste or belacan is a seasoning made from fish and / or shrimp organisms (jembret; gamberetti-it) which is fermented, shaped like pasta and black-brown, sometimes coupled with a dye that becomes red. Paste has a sharp odor and is usually used to make chili paste, but also found in a variety of traditional Indonesian recipes. In Indonesia recipes, there is a common sauce which made of terasai. There is named by 'Sambal Terasai'."

Original Terasai. It can be eaten within hot rice. :)
'Sambal Terasai': Terasai treated with chili. It used as sauce, but hotter!
